You're going to need a site. You are best if you get your own blog. With a blog you post as often as possible, at least once a week. That way the search engines will find you quicker with certain key words etc. "So how do I get a blog?" I hear you ask. First of all you need a host; you need that so that your site will be hosted on the web.
There are plenty of hosts out there, HostGator and 1&1to name but two. I use D9 Hosting for my hosting and my domain names. For hosting it will probably cost you $35 per quarter plus a set up fee and approx $9.99 for a domain name. Use your own name for your domain and.com if possible. You will receive an email from your host with details of your domain name, passwords for your cPanel etc.
I won't go into detail about cPanel. There are videos you can watch. It's a lot easier to follow someone on video. A lot easier let me tell you. That's how I learned about setting up my blog. You will soon get used to it. At the end of the day, "Rome wasn't built in a day." You'll never stop learning about Internet Marketing, something new crops up every day.
What have we got so far? You have your domain; hosting and now you will be building a blog. Like I said above the best way is to watch videos on how to build your blog. One place to get videos is YouTube, type in the search box, "How to set up WordPress using cPanel." There will be plenty of videos to choose from and within less than an hour you will have your first blog. Now the fun and hard work begins. You will have posts to write, links, widgets etc to sort out. Also required although not now is a header and footer. You design that yourself, if you know someone who is good with graphics or probably the best thing to do is get it done for you. There are plenty of folk out there who will do it for a fee. Before I go further have a look at some blogs and get some ideas. Go and look at different blogs and have a look and see how they are set up. You can have different themes, colours etc. That will give you an idea.
I'm sure most of you have seen blogs before but for those of you that haven't well, have a look for ideas. That's what it's about looking at other blogs and getting ideas for your own. I'm on my second blog as I'm writing this eBook.
To be successful online you need to start a campaign, which should be a top priority. It doesn't matter what line of business you will need a campaign. All successful Marketers have them. That's why they are where they are today.
