Blog Content Creation: Attract More Readers With Different Formats

Getting a steady flow of readers and traffic is important to all bloggers. Readers are the life of every blog.
They are the main reason why the blog was created in the first place. Failing to have a good number of readers is also a failure for the blogger too.
However, there are many methods that can help you attract more blog readers. One of the ways to do this is to use different blog content formats.

Text Posts
The most common format used in blogs is text. Blog posts usually are 500-word articles. These may be filled with information or opinion depending on the blogger.
However, a blog filled with nothing but text can be a tad bit boring to some people. This is why you have to write in such a way that you engage the reader in the conversation.
You have to be funny, if needed. You can diversify your text posts like providing how-to's and tips regarding certain topics.
Readers like step-by-step guides on doing certain things like crafting. You can also include tips and resources like that for traveling.
Lists are also good posts since they are easier to read and scan. However, make sure that when you write about these, they are related to your niche.
Posting Videos
Posting videos is a good way to show yourself to your readers. This is better than writing posts since you are talking to them on camera. They can listen to your tone of voice, how you talk and see what you look like.
It is a good way to engage your readers and grab their attention. It is fun to record a video of your post instead of writing them. It gives a certain personal touch to the video.
This helps in creating a relationship with them and encouraging them to comment and interact with you. You can make jokes and be creative with your videos. Make sure that you edit them properly.
Audio Posts or Podcasts
An audio post is also a good method of attracting readers to your blog. It allows you to have an oral conversation of what you want to tell your readers. The good thing with audio posts is that it can be easily recorded.
If you make your audio posts downloadable, this makes the portable. Your followers can just download it and listen anywhere they want. So, even offline you are still talking and conversing with them.
Images or Infographics
A picture can speak a thousand words is nowhere truer than in the world of blogging. An image appeals to the more visual of your readers and can often be used alone or to complement text content and make it more visually appealing.
Infographics are the hottest kind of blog content format that many popular bloggers have been using to illustrate boring statistics and data in a more interesting format.
A well-designed infographic can even help your blog go viral as other bloggers love sharing unusual forms of content.
Aside from just using text, you can also use these other formats as well to attract your readers. There are times when all text makes content monotonous.
It's like eating the same flavor of ice cream for an entire week. By the next week you'd rather not eat than have the same flavor again.
Putting up a variety of content format is a good way of providing different flavors for your readers. You are not merely putting a single flavor on the tray but allowing them a taste of different flavors every week.
Using different blog content formats not only works to attract more readers, but will make them look forward to your next entry.
